This section of the website is aimed specifically at professionals working with tube fed children seeking information on the topics of tube placement, tube maintenance and tube weaning of infants and children. The ability to offer an effective exit strategy once a patient has received a temporary feeding tube is crucial to the goal of excellent and responsible patient care.
For Professionals, there are 3 main ways to interact with the NoTube team:
Netcoaching
Netcoaching is a highly effective web-based tube weaning method for tube dependent children. Professionals may involve themselves in the Netcoaching program through supporting their patient (medical observation, weight control) during the time when the patient is in the Netcoaching program but are also invited to participate directly in the program to help their patient in the best possible way.
Training on site
NoTube offers training courses for medical professionals working with children who suffer from early eating behavior disorders. Members of the NoTube team come to the professionals’ institution and work with the local team to establish proven methods to treat children with early eating behaviors effectively and to help children to get rid of their feeding tubes.
Training in Graz
An increasing number of professionals of several disciplines visit our facilities in Graz every year (observership program). These professionals get an insight in the in/outpatient program at the University Children’s clinic and also scientific input from our multiprofessional team. The training courses at the psychosomatic unit can be visited for a period of 1-3 weeks.
